I don’t need you weaker. I need you unlucky.
Shifts the dice pool itself — stacking Bane on enemies, disrupting crit compounding, cursing a target’s luck rather than its stats. The archetype that treats the Boon/Bane system as the thing being played.
Design Pillars
- Enemy-side dice as a dedicated lane
- Anti-crit tech against compounding enemy crits
- Sibling to Gambler: shapes others’ luck where the Gambler bets their own
First-Pass Kit (draft — numbers unvalidated)
- Signature — Bind Luck (action, cooldown): curse a target: its next crit simply doesn’t happen — and you bank the stolen luck as a Boon for any ally. The roster’s only answer to compounding enemy 20s.
- Redistribute (action, once per encounter): cancel a Bane on an ally; an enemy of your choice takes one on its next roll. The ledger of luck must balance. You hold the pen.
- Passive — Ill Omen: enemies that fumble in your sight become doubly Exposed (2 stacks). You didn’t do anything. You never do anything. That’s the craft.
