What a Player Should Know
Generations back, somewhere down in the valley’s older ruins, one of the Rivenkin’s ancestors struck a bargain — or came close enough to one that it left a mark. Cracks of faint, unnatural light run just beneath their skin, and small horns curl from their brow, inherited rather than chosen. Rivenkin aren’t cursed, not exactly, but they carry a debt they never agreed to, and they’ve spent their whole lives being asked to explain that to people who’ve already made up their minds.
Rules
A species package is one trait and one knack, and rates +1 Power Value — same weight as a creation trait.
Trait — Bargain-Sense (passive). The valley’s old bargains recognize their own: gain a Boon on searches in any room that holds a secret — a hidden passage, a warded cache, a Twist’s foreshadowing. You can’t say what’s wrong with the room. Something is.
Knack — The Debt Holds (once per run). When you would take Wounds, take 1 less — and the debt collects: you are Exposed until your next activation. Nothing an ancestor signed is ever free.
