What a Player Should Know

Puddlings are friendly ooze-folk, translucent and ever-shifting, who wobble and drip and reform without much concern for keeping a consistent shape from one moment to the next. They can’t speak in the usual sense, so they communicate in broad, exaggerated gestures and expressions that form and dissolve inside their gelatinous bodies — surprisingly effective, once you learn to read them. Gentle, curious, and near-impossible to actually hurt in any lasting way.

Rules

A species package is one trait and one knack, and rates +1 Power Value — same weight as a creation trait.

Trait — No Bones (passive). You cannot Bleed, and you flow through bars, grates, and any crack a fist could fit through — an oubliette-grate is simply a door to you. Some contracts get much shorter when one party member is a liquid.

Knack — Engulf the Arm (once per encounter, no action). Ooze over an adjacent enemy’s weapon: its next attack takes a Bane, accompanied by expressive, apologetic bubbling.
